In July we’re working with the Portland Chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club to maintain the ski trails on Lookout Mountain The work involves some brushing and limbing, clearing downed logs, and hanging new diamonds.
This is a three day event, with the possibility of two nights of camping at Walton Lake. If you’d prefer to do just one or two days of volunteering, or not participate in the camping, that’s okay too!
What to bring: Please ensure you have the following required PPE:
- Long pants and long-sleeved shirts - Boots - Work gloves
- Eye protection
- Hard hats (we can provide one if needed)
You’ll want to bring a pack that’s large enough to carry extra tools and supplies.
Carpooling: The meeting time posted on this is tentative; the meeting time and carpool arrangements will be arranged with participants before the event.
