Fingers crossed! This could be it! We hope to complete the work at Edison this week by marking the lower elevation parts of Dynamo and Old Growth trails. There’s little to no brushing involved in this work since it’s mostly in burned areas, and along roads or fire breaks. We’ll install markers, and maybe have some limbing to do.
We will bring saws, ladders, and pole saws to complete the work.
Bring a pack that’s large enough to carry tools and supplies, in addition to what you need for the day.
As of this writing the weather is expected to be partly sunny, and a high temperature in the upper 30s.
What to bring: Ten essentials, work gloves, eye protection, water, snack/lunch. Hard hats are required for this work; let me know if you need one. Bring a hand saw if you have one.
Carpooling: this is a return to our usual Wednesday work day! Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station, at 8:45 AM to sort out carpooling. You get bonus points if you have a higher clearance rig, since we will be driving in on some rocky forest roads. Contact me if you want to meet us at the Edison Sno-Park instead of at the Welcome Station.
