This should be the last round of work in the unburned areas at Edison. Wednesday is looking to be rainy, so once again we’ll be working on Tuesday this week.
We will do some brushing and install markers on Alternating Current. We will likely do a shuttle and hike into the AC/DC shelter site from the road, and then work on brushing and updating markers on Alternating Current down to Junction 111. There should be less to do on this trail since we updated markers on the upper part of Alternating Current a few years ago when we re-routed part ofthe trail.
We will bring saws, a ladder, a pole saw and loppers to complete the work.
Bring a pack that’s large enough to carry tools and supplies, in addition to what you need for the day.
As of this writing the weather is expected to be mostly sunny, and a high temperature in the mid 50s.
What to bring: Ten essentials, work gloves, eye protection, water, snack/lunch. Hard hats are required for this work; let me know if you need one. Bring a hand saw if you have one.
Carpooling: NOTE: This is Tuesday, not our usual Wednesday work day! Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station,at 8:30 AM to sort out carpooling. Contact me if you want to meet us at the Edison Sno-Park instead.
