It’s another round of work at Edison this week to continue our work on getting trails ready for snow. Wednesday is looking to be rainy so we’ll be working on Tuesday this week.
We will install permanent signs near AC/DC shelter, and there’s brushing and markers needed on both Alternating Current and Direct Current. We will do a shuttle and hike into the AC/DC shelter site from the road, install the junction signs, and then work on brushing and updating markers on Direct Current down to the Sno-Park. With all the wind that we have had the last week there may be some downed trees; we will bring saws and deal with anything that isn’t too massive that has come down.
Bring a pack that’s large enough to carry tools and supplies, in addition to what you need for the day.
As of this writing the weather is expected to be cloudy, with rain starting late afternoon, and a high temperature in the upper 40s. If the weather predictions change significantly for the worse, we’ll postpone.
What to bring: Ten essentials, work gloves, eye protection, water, snack/lunch. Hard hats are required for this work; let me know if you need one. Bring a hand saw if you have one.
Carpooling: NOTE: This is Tuesday, not our usual Wednesday work day! Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station,at 8:30 AM to sort out carpooling. Contact me if you want to meet us at the Edison Sno-Park instead.
