There are two possibilites for work on Edison trails. If we have temporary signs done by Wendesday we will install them at several locations in the burn, and check markers and do some brushing on Direct Current on the return. If the temporary signs aren’t done, we will do a shuttle and hike into the AC/DC shelter site from the road, install two permanent junction signs, and then work on brushing and updating markers on Direct Current down to the Sno-Park.
There will be a fair amount of equipment to haul, so bring a pack that’s large enough to carry tools and supplies. We’ll be bringing the signs, a ladder, a pole saw, hand tools, markers, and a drill.
As of this writing the weather is expected to be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 60. Perfect weather for a walk in the woods!
What to bring: Ten essentials, work gloves, eye protection, water, snack/lunch. Hard hats are required for this work; let me know if you need one. Bring a hand saw if you have one.
Carpooling: Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station,at 8:30 AM to sort out carpooling. Contact me if you want to meet us at the Edison Sno-Park instead.
