Clear Lake is the headwaters of the McKenzie River. It has amazingly clear water and, in mid-October, the vine maples and shrubs along the lake shore provide great fall colors. We will hike the Clear Lake Loop Trail around the lake.
Distance: 5.3 mile loop around the lake. Plan on spending 5-6 hours, including drive time to/from the trailhead.
Elevation Gain: 400 feet.
Difficulty Level: Moderately Easy
What to Bring: Summer ten essentials, water, snack/lunch, and proper footwear (no sandals or tennis shoes). Dogs are not allowed on this hike.
