A hike up Mt Bachelor to the Pine Marten Lodge. Leisurely morning start for those who aren't so bright eyed and bushy tailed. Fine views from the mid-mountain. Take a break at Pine Marten Lodge before descent. Optional 10 min. descent via Pine Marten Lift West Village Lodge open for refreshments. Back in town before rush hour.
Distance: 4.43 miles one way, 8.86 miles round trip or hike up/chair lift ride down. ~2 hours hiking time up. 25 min drive to trailhead. ~5-6 hours total duration. Expect to be back to town before rush hour.
Elevation gain/loss: 1,359 feet of gain

What to bring: Ten essentials, water, snack, and proper footwear (no tennis shoes or sandals). Bring/wear sun protection clothing and sun screen. Bring/wear bug protection clothing and bug spray. Dogs are not allowed on this hike.

Number of hikers: 9 hikers including the hike leader. Registration is required.
Carpooling: Carpooling can be arranged at the meeting place. If you ride with someone, please donate to their gas fund. Be generous for obvious reasons.
Meeting place: The Grove in NW Crossing: 921 NW Mount Washington Drive, Bend. We'll grab a table in the general seating area, near Thump. Come early to grab a coffee and chat with others before we arrange carpools. Be prepared to leave by 9:00 am sharp!
