The morning started with foggy skies and chilly temperatures. However, the sun broke through and temps rose as we gathered for our hike. We saw few other hikers but many deer and elk tracks on the trail as we ventured next to the scenic Crooked River canyon. Most hikers are content just to walk the designated route but our adventurous group went farther, off trail to the end of the last bench. We returned, content with a day well spent.
